A Note from the HOA Board:
May 5, 2025
IT’S TIME TO GET OUTDOORS! A FEW REMINDERS TO KEEP OUR
COMMUNITY SAFE AND BEAUTIFUL:
1. SOME IMPROVEMENTS TO YOUR PROPERTY REQUIRES HOA REVIEW.
Pursuant to Article V, Section 2, of the Carriage Run Protective Covenants & Restrictions, “no residence, building, structure, antenna, satellite dish antenna, patio roof, patio awning, tool shed, storage shed, fence or other improvement, whether temporary or permanent in nature, shall be
erected…until approved by the Architectural Control Committee.” The
approval process is simple and easy: Email the HOA with information on
the improvement, including address, plans and specs. The chair of the
Architectural Control Committee will contact you, review your plans, and
make a decision promptly.
2. TRASH RECEPTACLES. Please remove trash and recycling receptacles as soon as possible from the street after trash collection.
3. CALL BEFORE YOU DIG! Whether you are planting a tree, installing a fence
or new mailbox post, it’s important to stay safe and avoid damage to underground utility, phone, cable or Internet lines. Dial 811 at least three working days before starting your project. It’s fast, free, and it’s the law.
4. GRASS TRIMMING. Please keep grass trimmed and cut in front and back
yards, whether enclosed or not. Grass higher than 12 inches tall is considered a “public nuisance,” under the Rocky Mount Code of Ordinances. Violators will be given 7 days to cut the grass or the city can cut the grass and send the homeowner a bill for the abatement.

REMINDERS:.
“NO SOLICITING” – In accordance with the Rocky Mount Code of City Ordinances
(Chapter III, Sec. 13-86), there is a “No Soliciting” policy in Carriage Run. We have posted a sign at the entrance to notify unlicensed salespeople. If they knock on your door, please inform them of the city ordinance.
LAWN SIGNS are not allowed (Carriage Run Restrictive Covenants, Article V, Section 7), which includes signs from companies who have provided services at a
residence.
SPEEDING – The speed limit in our subdivision is 25 mph. With the warmer weather, more children and adults are outside. Please slow down to keep our streets, especially the main thoroughfare, Greys Mill Road, safer for everyone.
Please contact the Board of the HOA with questions or issues at carriagerunhoanc@gmail.com
